How can you donate to the Walleye Festival ?
Donations are what drives the Walleye Festival and Tournament. Major sponsors of $500 or more and a Member Sponsor of $200, will get you included on all of our mailings, registrations, posters, event flyers, and radio time. Proceeds will go towards community improvements, like a new sledding hill for example. For Information on how to donate Click Here

Walleye Fishing Tournament
For those proud fisherman in the area in the Walleye Fishing Tournament, the tournament begins April 26th at 12 AM and ends on April 27th at 3 PM.

An extensive study of the Tittabawassee River has been conducted during the past five years by Michigan State University. To see the results of the MSU Tittabawassee River Study, select the link below.
Gambling and Texas Holdem Tournament
The Indoor Showroom at Burt Watsons Chevrolet is the place to be for gambling during the Walleye Festival. Gambling begins at 6:00 PM and ends at 11:00 PM Friday and Saturday night.
The Texas Holdem Tournament is held in the same area Saturday. Pre-registration begins at 10:00 AM. The tournament begins at 12:00 noon and continues until there is a winner.

The Car Show is on Saturday April 26th. In case of rain the Car Show will be held on that Sunday. Registration will start at 10 a.m. and will end at noon. There will be goodie bags for the first 100 people that register. Trophies will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

Spring cleaning and rummage sale time is just around the corner. The Freeland Walleye Festival Committee is planning a township wide rummage sale. Due to safety concerns, we are asking the community to hold rummage sales Friday April 25th thru Sunday April 27th. Rummage sales should not be held Wednesday or Thursday.
